November 1, 2021 – With Melbourne’s renowned arts and culture scene reopening post-lockdown, Australia’s and the Southern Hemisphere’s first permanent digital gallery, THE LUME Melbourne, has thrown open its much-anticipated doors on 1st November with VAN GOGH. Permanently housed at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the premiere experience for THE LUME Melbourne, proudly presented by Lexus, is an epic adventure into the life and vibrant works of Vincent van Gogh.
The impact of COVID has been felt by all Melbournians and we are so pleased to be able to celebrate our city’s reopening with a bang. The Vincent van Gogh experience could not be a more iconic way to kick off Melbourne’s beloved arts scene,” says Owner and Founder of Grande Experiences and THE LUME Melbourne, Bruce Peterson.
THE LUME Melbourne transforms the world’s finest art into fully immersive sensory encounters. With the last 18 months weighing heavy on the arts industry, there is no better way to celebrate the end of lockdowns than with a visit to Melbourne’s newest cultural attraction. “I can’t think of a better way to reopen our doors, than to host an event that will be so impactful in driving economic impact and attracting visitors to our city,” says Peter King CEO of Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
THE LUME Melbourne is sure to create a memorable experience for every visitor that comes through our doors. After a long few years, it’s so great to see our venue coming back to life with the sights, sounds and smells of this immersive event.”
