WORLD PREMIERE OF MONET & FRIENDS IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
March 13, 2021 | Monet & Friends
Monet & Friends – Life, Light & Colour had its world premiere at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, Sydney on Friday, March 12.
“The team at Grande Experiences are absolutely thrilled to world premiere our latest show; Monet & Friends – Life, Light & Colour on home soil. Produced in the same immersive multi-sensory format as the hugely successful Van Gogh Alive, this very new and unique experience will captivate and enthral audiences young and old as we enjoy some of the colourful works of art from the French Masters of the 19th century, combined with a wonderful musical score and special aromas permeating throughout the venue,” said Bruce Peterson – founder & owner, Grande Experiences.
“The experience pays homage to Claude Monet and the Impressionists painters of the mid-19th century right through to the early 20th century, exploring not only the paintings themselves but the history of the Impressionist movement amid the social and political turbulence of the time. Impressionism remains one of the most fascinating and well-loved movements in the history of modern art.” – Bruce Peterson
This large-scale art event provides a COVID-safe environment that exceeds government public health guidelines. Controlled visitor capacities (that allow for more than the recommended 1 person per 4 square meters) and managed visitor flow mean visitors can easily respect social-distancing advice. The experience also meets the highest hygiene standards with hand sanitisers, masks and daily deep cleaning. The Royal Hall of Industries is aesthetically and spatially ideal for presenting the digital journey into the works of the most celebrated artists of the Impressionist era.
Grande Experiences’ state-of-the-art SENSORY4™ immersive gallery combines with a tailored exhibition space to allow projection of enormous crystal-clear images. Set to a powerful classical score and showcasing the full breadth of the Impressionist movement, a stunning display of iconic, inspirational images transforms the world around you as you lose yourself in the vibrant colours and intricate details of the Impressionists’ works.
Adults and children alike will forge their own paths and find their own meaning as they wander through the galleries, exploring hidden nooks, viewing artworks from new angles and discovering unique perspectives. But for many, the greatest pleasure lies in simply standing still, indulging the senses as waves of sights and sounds, intense and beautiful, wash over them.
